Jane Eyre expresses her inner thought directly and bravely.Her strong character makes her face the difficulties bravely and fearlessly.There also exists another situation that shows how brave Jane is.When Rochester’s mad wife is found,Jane chooses to leave Thornfield through she loves Rochester with her whole heart.Then Rochester asks,“ You are going,Jane?” “Yes,I am going,sir.” “You are leaving ma?” “Yes”(Bronte 502).Jane is brave enough to confront all kinds of changeable situation.Love is the main source of her living.Choosing to leave means everything would leave her behind.Falling in love with Rochester is the important thing in Jane’s life.From then on,Jane becomes a young healthy and happy girl,even beauty would appear in her face.It is very difficult for Jane to take the first step,but she does it thoroughly.By way of “escaping”,she suffers a lot that nobody can imagine.She gets through them bravely and fearlessly,and then lives an independent life that she has always hopes for.
Jane's bravery and fearlessness gains her respect,but compare with Jane,Tess' powerless and calm may gain others commiseration.
