Is English of Much Importance?
There always a debate among Chinese people whether we need to study Egnlish. Some are for it and some are against it. For those who think English is useful (about sixty per cent of students), English could be a good communication and by speaking English, many students can make more and more friends from at home or aboard. After all, English is the most common language in the world. Yet about forty per cent of students do not think so. First, English is not used very often in our life; secondly, our native language should be paid more attention. Besides, more and more foreigners are learning Chinese. In my opinion, for all the people, it is the most important to study one's native language, and then, if necessary, study other language.
