没必要用过去完成时啊. after是表示一个动作的结束，另一个动作又发生了，一般用于过去时. after本身已表明前后动作发生的先后关系，故一般倾向于不用完成时，当然用了也没有关系 he hurried to the station after he had looked at watch.
