Marie Curie was born in Poland in 1867. She was born in a poor, but well-educated family. She loves chemistry and biology a lot. She met her husband Pierre Curie in Paris, France. In 1898, Marie Curie and her husband did a lot of research regarding radioactivity and found the radioelement Radium together. In 1903, they won the Nobel Prize becuase of that discovery. Marie Curie died of cancer in 1934. Her discovery greatly promoted the development of science. She also set the example for women scientists in the future.
