"The Happy Prince" was written the story of The Happy Prince and the Swallow.Story goes that the Happy Prince's statue stands right in the middle of the city.His body was made of pure gold and his eyes of sparkling sapphire.On the hilt of his sword also lies a big ruby that shines away brightly.In order to help the poor,he got the swallow to give his pure gold body and precious stones to them.The starving people rejoiced for they received happiness and warmth.Finally,swallow because he loved the prince of happiness and not to Egypt,was frozen to death.On the other hand,the Happy Prince's statue was removed for it no longer had a gold body and precious stones on it.The Little Prince in the public who will put the fire melted the statue,the little prince how can melt the heart can not afford.It will be the little prince's heart and they trash the bird's body,the result brought by the angels to heaven.
The first word that I thought of was devotion after I finished the story.The Happy Prince and Swallow are selfless,so my heart has been touched with the shock:The Happy Prince himself would prefer to abandon all glamorous,but also to help people; swallows prefer not to spend the winter,to be completed Prince wish.They let me know:the dedication is selfless love.
Look at the world and we'll realise that there are a lot of people who resemble the Happy Prince and the swallow.They are the people who have been dedicating their lives to a particular cause silently.Our parents worked hard every day to take care of us,only to pay,not to return,we thrive is their greatest wish.Our beloved teachers,for students,worked hard,to watering the flowers of the motherland,the motherland pillar of culture.There are a variety of volunteers,scorching sun,wind rain will not stop them,they donated money for the community quietly give their power!
Carefully reading materials,I found the author not only of Oscar Wilde Happy Prince and Swallow praise,but also for those critical snobbery.Those officials and the mayor is a typical portrait of Oscar Wilde,they do not distinguish right and wrong,the Mayor subject to orders.When the happy prince who gave the people are beautiful gems,you want to tear down the statue of The Happy Prince.This depressing situation is unfortunately similar to what we have in real-life.
I've also learnt another very important thing..That is having the looks may be important but ultimately,what's inside matters the most.The Happy Prince gave his precious stones to the people.After he did so,his glamourous appearance became a thing of the past but his inner beauty outshone his appearance and thus they couldn't burn his heart at the end of the day.
I have benefited and learnt a lot about life from reading "The Happy Prince".
