1.It's because now we have more sources to get the news.For example,we can use phone to see the news and also if we open our computers, they will jump out some news by itself. And every 19:00 on CCTV,we are having news report.Those ways of knowing news is free, but if you are reading daily newpaper, you need to buy it, it's not free!And before,technology was not that advanced,reading daily newspaper is the only to know the news.That's why people are not reading daily newspaper as frequently as they once did.
2.They may investigate different age of people to find out what people got most interest on, and make more information about those things. And they need to advertise themselves on more sources.
