A brief introduction on the functions of major components of the system:
1.Knowledge database contains the software description rules provided by software engineers or professional personnel,i.e.knowledge.
2.Case study library contains all the previous cases; they can be reused for identical or similar cases.
3.The inference machine searches the relevant similar cases from the case study library and extracts the corresponding test case for reuse; it also extracts corresponding software description rules from the knowledge database for inference and interpretation,so as to obtain test cases.
4.The driver module controls the execution of the tested software,and the corresponding structural coverage information is obtained through instrumentation strategy.The structural coverage information is then tested to analyze whether it attains the specified structural covering rate or the specified number of test cases,so as to determine whether to stop or continue testing.
知识库用来存储的描述软件的规则.这些规则是由测试工程师等专家通过对被测软件的文档和代码进行分析,并按照规则的表示方法组成的,这是一项复杂的任务,在本文我们采用产生式的知识表示方法来描述软件.还应注意知识库的自学习功能,以及对于规则的冗余性、一致性的检测及处理.
推理机有两项关键作用.第一,生成可靠的测试用例集；第二,保证测试用例集的测试充分性.本文的推理机是以规则预言为基础进行测试用例的生成.所以在保证对软件的正确规则描述和正确的规则推理后,就能够保证测试用例的可靠性.
Knowledge database is the storage for the rules of description software.These rules are composed in accordance with their presentation method by the test engineers and specialists through the analysis of documents and codes of the tested software.This is a complex task; in this paper,we have adopted the production method of knowledge presentation to describe the software.Attention should also be given to the self-learning function of the knowledge database,as well as the testing and handling of redundancy and uniformity of the rules.
There are two critical roles for the inference machine.1.It generates reliable test suite; 2.It ensures the test adequacy of the test suite.The inference machine in this paper generates test cases on the basis of rule prediction.So,it can guarantee the reliability of the test cases after it has performed correct rule description of the software and accurate rule inference.
