最简单的判断方法：把先行词代到从句中看它在从句中充当什么成分.
1.This is the house where I lived two years ago. 先行词是the house
This is the house.(主句）
I lived in the house two years ago.(从句）
因为我居住的不是一个东西,而是一个地方,所以这里的the house在从句中是作地点状语而不是宾语.所以用关系副词where
用同样的方法分析：
He is the man whom/ that I saw esterday.先行词是：the man
He is the man.(主句）
I saw the man yesterday.(从句）
因为我看到的是the man,the man 在从句中作宾语,所以用关系代词whom/that
