A Meaningful Visit to Institutes
"Perfect ,wonderful !" Some students summarized their visit using these words with excited expression.
Freshmen together with four teachers coming from Collage of Life Science paid a visit to Zoological Museum And Herbarium in WuHan University and Institute Of hydrobiology Chinese Academy Of Science on Nov 1,2009.
At about 8:20a.m.,all the visitors set off to their first destination—WuHan University.Bus stopped at the gate of Zoological Museum And Herbarium,then they were flocked in.So many specimens of all kinds of animals,such as Felis leo ,Panfbero figris,Ursus arcfos lasiofus,Vulpes Vulpes fschiliensis,Chuanchia labiosa Herzenstein and so on .As for some freshmen,the most attractive were tow dead baby –a boy and a girl,they have been being preserved for several years.So serene they are!
About 35 minutes later,these visitors went to their second destination---Institute of Hydrobiology Chinese Academy of Sciences.When walking into the exhibition hall,visitors can see many animals without any distances because no glass prevent their sight,they can even smell their smell—a little odour suggesting that they were living lives at one time.Chinese sturgeon Sawshark and many precious fish are palpable.These fish are keeping their last pose .That is eternal!The last destination was Baiji Dolphinarium."QiQi",a male baiji that had been in captivity for 22.5 years,dying naturally of old age is now on show in a notable place,also they can see wattle-necked soft shelled turtle and some skeletons.Visitors were luck enough to see a special animal—Yantze Finless Porpolses,the only living animal they have seen this morning in these institutes.
When asked their feeling,some students said,"Today's visit is an important visit in our lives.We had never been to professional institutes before,so the strikes in our hearts are deep and heavy." One student also said,"Now I know how wise I was when I chose to study biology!I'm ready to study hard in the coming future.It's a meaningful visit!"
