2.3 Material Properties
The aluminum sheets used in our experiments are aluminum alloy 6061-T6 with 2-mm thickness with the following chemical composition:Al 97.0 wt.%,Si 0.6 wt.%,Mn 0.1 wt.%,Mg 1.0 wt.%,Fe 0.5 wt.%,Cu 0.2 wt.%,Cr 0.1 wt.%,Ti 0.15 wt.%,and Zn 0.2 wt.%.In this study,temperature-dependent physical (Ref 12) and mechanical properties (Ref 13) of the materials,which include thermal conductivity,coefficient of thermal expansion,specific heat,elastic modulus,and yield stress,are used for both electrothermal and thermal-mechanical analyses in the FE model.
