This article has compared the difference between IPv6 and IPv4, introduced the basic conception, formation, operation principles and the basic operations of the mobile IPv6, and discussed the support with which the mobile IP provided IPv6. We first of all simply introduce IPv6 from its specialties, and then compare it with IPv4, which is to point out that the new specilties in IPv6 will support the mobile function better than old ones in IPv4.
