it是宾从中的主语 would take my mind off 是宾从中的谓语 things是宾从中的 宾语
on the way home是宾从中的状语.
最后的home是副词 属于表示方位的副词 所以可以作后置定语 修饰 the way .
句子意思
我想那会让我在回家的路上不再为那些事情发愁 .

和go home的用法和词性一样，是adv，其实这里要注意的是take my mind off things是双宾，正常语序是take off the things (that)on my mind,off可以在后面，不知道对不对，我直觉是这样的～～～

这里的home 相当于副词，表示回家的意思，就相当于on the way to home，前面的to被省略掉了。这种home用法在英语中很常见
