句子意思是：他哥哥走了杳无音信.（ 意思是家人从没被收到他的来信）
变被动语态时不要把介词去掉,又如
He takes good care of his younger brother .-> His younger brother is taken good care of by him

hear from 意思是收到来信，或者有消息。B中from 实际上是和前面hear 构成固定搭配。选A的话， 在since 前面加一个from 也OK
