The Table 4 shows that under the action of gravity,the counterforce of the A bearing and the B
bearing are without big differences.The counterforce of the A bearing is bigger than that of the B
bearing.That is because the structure of the bridge is inclined plane and the side of A is higher than
the side of B.Under the action of 30t+30t+30t and gravity,the counterforce of the A bearing and the
B bearing are both changed.When the loads increase to 50t+50t+50t and gravity (refer with Fig.12),
the counter-force of the A bearing is -18.4KN.It shows that the A bearing is disengaging.
The load of 20t+55t+55t and gravity are located in the middle of the bridge span (refer with Fig.
13).The counterforce of the A bearing is -25.7KN.It shows that the A bearing is also disengaging.
When the load of 55t+55t and gravity are applied to the bridge,the counterforce of the A bearing is
94.1KN.The bearing A is not disengaging,but its counterforce is small.If accidental load and 55t+55t heavy vehicle run on the bridge at the same time ,the bridge is dangerous.
Conclusions The results of calculation and analysis above indicate that the stability of the bridge is not only related to the load size,but also to the load location .In order to insure the traffic security,the overload should be limited and two 55t heavy vehicles should also be forbidden.
