"Come in," a voice called out.Jim entered the room.

"Turner," Jim said.

He picked up the phone."Come in a moment,will you,Mary?
His secretary came in and he showed her his diary.
"Look," he said,"you've made an appointment for a Mr Hall at nine-thirty on Monday-and in fact Mr Turner has come."
"Well,sir," his secretary said."you're looking at the wrong page of your diary.Mr Hall's appointment is for next week."
"You're quite right.So it is.Then…?"
"I haven't made any appointment for Mr Turner," the secretary went on."Well," said the manager,looking at Jim,"What are you doing here?"
"I've come about a holiday job," explained Jim."My father spoke to you about it.He said you wanted to see me this morning."
"Oh,you're George Turner's son!Well,why didn't you say so in the first place!"
