time和times都有“时期,时代”的意思,你可以查下字典.
例如：The time when they could do just as they pleased has gone forever.
他们为所欲为的时代已经一去不复返了.
下面是the times的例子：
As a historian,he was most typical of the times in which he lived.
作为历史学家,他是他所处时代最有代表性的人物.
