what happend的确是由what 引导的名词性从句，与of 构成介词短语，一起修饰前面的“a full account ”。我上面说是补语是不对的，应该是间接宾语，a full account是直接宾语，因为我们可以把句型转化成这样：“Please give what happened yesterday a full account ”，“Please give a full account of what happened yesterday“ 这里面的 "of " 相当于please give a brief introduction to the story 中的 "to" ,在此，of 和to 的功能是相当的。这个句子我们一看到很容易想成是定语，但是细想起来就不太对劲了。
