1。多用复数，因为你加了the 所以单复数都可以，同样的兴趣可以是一个也可以试几个，要看上下文
2。the same sa 是介词，确切说是一个固定词组，as...as是副词，as you can see 是介词，as a waiter 是介词
3。both是在只有两个人的时候用。
如果说很多人，那你想说的这句话的主语也要强调是两个人
