你把as well as 看成是and那样就好理解了
没有人会说the father is to go fishing and the son这样的嘛
as well as作为连接词是和and一样意思的
不同的是用and连接,你后面的动词要用复数形式
The father and the son are to go fishing
而as well as是规定看主语来用动词的形式,由于这里的主语是father所以用is咯
除此之外,as well as的公用和and一样啊～

as well as连接的是两个词，按你说的前后的类型就不一样了，前面是完整的句子，后面只有人物。

is to go fishing是对的。be to是表示将来时的一种形式，大概是“马上就要”的意思。
至于为什么前面那个句子错了，可能是因为有歧义，the son不确定和fishing在一起还是和father在一起。后面的句子没有这种歧义。
