Do you know the man who is standing by the window.
by介词：牛津里的意思是：
near sb/sth; at the side of sb/sth; beside sb/sth:靠近,在什么东西的一边,或者旁边
by和beside都是旁边的意思,但by有依靠的含义.
例：A house is by the river
The telephone is by the window.
Come and sit by me.
