Listening skill is extremely crutial in English learning.However,Chinese students often neglect the importance of listening and thus,have poor listening skill.In this essay,the author pinpointed the importance of leaning in six facets ,and analysed the reason why such problem would occur in China; among these reasons,the most prominent one is that Chinese teachers only focus on the exam-orientated education ,but overlook and ignore the importance of listening skill which is often not tested.
