Andrew Lloyd Webber,Baron Lloyd-Webber (born 22 March 1948) is a British composer and impresario of musical theatre.[1]
Several of his musicals have run for more than a decade both in the West End and on Broadway.He has composed 13 musicals,a song cycle,a set of variations,two film scores,and a Latin Requiem Mass.He has also gained a number of honours,including a knighthood in 1992,[2] followed by a peerage from Queen Elizabeth II for services to Music,seven Tony Awards,three Grammy Awards,an Academy Award,fourteen Ivor Novello Awards,seven Olivier Awards,a Golden Globe Award,and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006.[3][4] Several of his songs have been widely recorded and were hits outside of their parent musicals,notably "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera,"I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar,"Don't Cry for Me,Argentina" and "You Must Love Me" from Evita,"Any Dream Will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and "Memory" from Cats.
His company,the Really Useful Group,
is one of the largest theatre operators in London.Producers in several
parts of the UK have staged productions,including national tours,of
the Lloyd Webber musicals under licence from the Really Useful Group.
Lloyd Webber is also the president of the Arts Educational Schools London,a prestigious performing arts school located in Chiswick,West London.

playwright,literary and social critic and "one of the twentieth
century's major poets."[1] Born in St.Louis,Missouri in the United States,he moved to the United Kingdom in 1914 (at age 25) and was naturalised as a British subject in 1927 at age 39.
Eliot attracted widespread attention for his poem The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock (1915),which is seen as a masterpiece of the Modernist movement.It was followed by some of the best-known poems in the English language,including The Waste Land (1922),The Hollow Men (1925),Ash Wednesday (1930) and Four Quartets (1945).[2] He is also known for his seven plays,particularly Murder in the Cathedral
(1935).He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948,"for his
outstanding,pioneer contribution to present-day poetry".[3][4]
