there be 句型它表示“某处有某物“be 是单数还是复数形式取决于后面紧跟的名词是单数还是复数,而不是修饰名词的定语例There are two books and a pen on the desk..因为是two books,复数,所以用are.而 There is a pen and two books on the desk..因为是a pen,单数,所以用is.简言之,be动词要随句子中离它较近的名词单复数变化而变化,这就叫就近原则.
