一道关于英语代词的选择题
like the dog,the cat has a large family,even larger than __ of the dog
为什么这里用that 而不用one呢?指代的a large family应该算泛指吧,that不应用于特指吗?
我的意思是指代同类事物时one用于泛指单数，that用于特指。这里family前面冠词既然是a 就应该是泛指才对，为什么用that呢

在这里that指代的是前面的family,并不是特指

因为上面说过了a large family 所以下面用that代替它，英语不喜欢重复

如果不用that来代替就应该是even larger than the family of the dog.对吧？所以只能填that。
