应该是对这个a range of 的理解
那照夏朋友说的,there are a lot of books.
那就不合理了啊

是is a wide range of.
在这里不能和a lot of 放到一类比较~
a lot of 是固定表示“很多”修饰可数名字和不可数名词,而a range of 可以理解为借助range的意思延伸出的一个搭配,表示“一系列”所以单复数取决于range.
且a lot of 也可为lots of意思完全相同,但是 a range of 却不能写为ranges of.
英语里有些问题是没办法用绝对的原理来解释的.语言不可能完全限制在条条框框里~它是活的~
