Hello.Jim!I am sorry to hear that you can not speak Mandarin well.Don't worry.it is natural for a foreigner to come to China.I think by a lot of practice you can speak it well.I can give you some advice on it .First you should take part in as many activities as you can to improve your Chinese.Second you should listen to music or Chinese programmes .Third you shoud make friends with Chinese so that they can help you to learn Chinese.I hope that you can learn it well soon.
