the best way to teach children is to instill self-esteem and self-confidence in them.Compliments and rewards go much further than criticism and punishment,especially in today's world where so many students come from dysfunctional and abusive environments.Reward their effort.Praise in the presence of others.Do NOT punish or counsel in front of anyone else.Always provide criticism or counselling in private,but in such an environment so as not to invite criticism in todays world.I find asking the child how they would solve the problem to be the best solution.Kids are very imaginative and fair.One Public Insult can wipe out 20 praises
