Net income and net cash flow
suppose you are evaluating a firm that generated negative net cash flow last year,but its cash on the balance sheet increased.which of the following events could help explian this increase in cash?
A.the firm bought some new fixed assets
B.the firm issued new common stock
C.the firm retired some outstanding debt
D.the firm had a vary large depreciation expense

a.wrong.it also means a decrease in cash on BS.
b.right.it generates a cash inflow.
c.wrong.paying debt causes cashoutflow,thus can't increase cash on BS.
d.wrong.depreciation doesn't influence net cash flow nor the cash item on BS.
e.wrong.the expenditures cause a decrease in cash item.
it's my personal opinion.
