Jose,a Spanish hotel owner on the Costa Brava,says:Tourists!Sometimes they are stupid!they go straight to the beach on their first day and lie in the sun for hours.Then they have stay in bed for a week!It is better tosunbathe for just half an hour on the first day.
And they go to the beach in the middle of the day,when the sun is very hot.The morning is better –or later afternoon.
And why do people swim immediately after heavy lunch?This can be dangerous.It is better to wait for an hour or two.
Another thing—people often take lots of money with them on to the beach.This is stupid.there are lots of thieves around,unfortunately.It isbetter to have traveler’s cheques.
It is also dangerous to carry passports and tickets on you.March better to lock them in your hotel room.
Of course,it’s common sense.But tourists leave their common sense at home when they go on holiday.
