whenever引导的从句很简单就不用分析了,主句是用and链接的两个句子,it(主) left（谓） behind it a trail of dead deer（定）,small animals(S) like(V) rabbits(O).可能是因为有多个it,不利于理解,找出原文中对应的意思应该就明白了.
