我们站在城东的山顶上,望着火红的太阳冉冉升起.
第一个空不填,east of the city做后置定语,修饰mountain.
第二个空,最好用the,对这种独一无二的事物,如太阳,月亮等,在其前面要有定冠词the.
但在口语中,在这些独一无二的事物前有形容词修饰时,有时也可看似随便一点的用不定冠词.如：
Look!A burning sun.看!（这）火热的太阳.
