Dear Editor,
I am a middle school student Tom,and I am now writing for something about the ban on plastic bags implemented several months ago.
In order to save energy and protect the environment,China on June 1 2008 banned ultra-thin plastic bags and made shopkeepers charge for carrier bags.However,in some areas of China,the regulation is not carried out successfully,and white pollution is still existing.
As for this matter,I think to a great extent it must be due to the weak law enforcement of some local areas.Besides,poor environmental awareness of some citizens is another important reason for this phenomenon.
In this case,I think,on the one hand,we should strengthen the execution of the law,and perfect supervision mechanism; on the other hand,we should spread the consciousness of environmental protection,and let people know the danger of destroying environment.I hope that as time goes on,people will get into the habit of carrying their own bags when going shopping through relevant education of environmental protection.
