1.Jim and his friends (are) going to the park.
吉姆和朋友们打算去公园.
and表示主语为并列关系,算作复数.
2.Jim as well as his friends (is) going to the park.
吉姆以及他的朋友们打算去公园.
as well as表示后面的人不是并列,而是附带关系,不是主语.所以算单数.
