Thw famous writer_____many books in the last few 应填过去时还是现在完成时呢,为什么?
如果是现在完成时的话，那为什么He was a teacher in the past会用过去时呢？

因为时间状语是in the last few years,所以时态就应该用现在完成时
in the past是过去的意思
She was a teacher in the past表示她过去是一个老师,不知道她现在是不是,只表示一个事实,因此用过去式
