news是不可数名词,不能用many,an或a few来修饰,它们都只能修饰可数名词的.
some既可以修饰可数名词,也可以修饰不可数名词.
2.C
没有hope sb to do sth的结构（不过可以说wish sb to do sth）,排除AB；
可以使用“hope + that宾语从句”结构,且that可以省略,所以C正确；
D就更错大了,没有什么hope sb do sth结构.

1.选A news 为不可数名词 some即可修饰不可数名词也可修饰可数名词。后面三个都只能修饰可数名词。
2.C. hope to do sth/ hope + that从句

第一个应该选A，news应该是不可数名词
而B，C, D 都是修饰可数的
第二个应该选C吧，
hope sb can do sth,
好像还没有hope sb to do sth
