这里是一个过去分词短语作伴随状语（covered是过去分词）,桌子看起来很漂亮,是伴随着它被盖上了桌布这样一种状态.主语table和covered之间是逻辑上的主谓关系,两者之间形成被动的关系,因为这其实意思上就是相当于the table is covered with a table cloth.但是由于这里是做状语,所以不可以出现be动词,因此就直接用了过去分词短语来做状语.
