We track adoption with two sets of measures derived from our survey data. The first is a village measure in which a village is considered to have adopted a technology if at least one plot or farmer in the village uses the technology. While this does not mean that all, or even most, farmers in a village use the given technology, information on how many villages have at least one farmer using the technology provides an understanding of how spatially pervasive the practice has become.
