How to Take notes
When giving individual tutoring to my students, I frequently find lots of them have misunderstandings about taking notes.Although they take it as a tool for promoting efficiency in studying, they are often impeded by inaccurate ways of taking notes.So it is imperative that the students should have a clear understanding of its methods.
First of all, we must figure out the purpose of taking notes.The notes can be divided into two types: one is for the knowledge of classroom learning and the other is for the experience of self-study.So, as these notes come from the different places, we should make different marks to systematize them.Secondly, it may be a smart idea to diversify your marks which will boost a lot of efficiency of reviewing.For example, expressing the error-prone knowledge with symbols of stars.Thirdly, changing notes diligently.What you know are always varying.Increasing by studying and reviewing, reducing by idleness and oblivion.Therefore, notes should be an actual reflection of your knowledge by instantly modifying.
Anyway, it's a positive vision that notes do not equal to knowledge.Numerous notes without reviewing are birds in the bushes.
