简而言之,这些工作属于“机器可以比人做的更好”的类型
这个是书上的原句,我不懂得就是 much better 【at】 than human beings 这里为什么要加一个at
为什么不能只是 much better than?at在这里起到什么作用?

e good at是善于做什么的意思,由于和机器相比较,就改成了句子中的much better at.

perform at 是短语，at后面的“工作”省略了

pefrom at 加修饰词时是加在介词前面，如 perform well at the game
所以句子实际是 Perform+（比较级 much better）+at
