Dear HKU’s teachers,
It’s my honor to send you a statement of myself.I hope this statement can let you know more about me.
My name is XXX and my English name is XX.I’m a girl from XX city,XXprovince.I have a lot of hobbies such as playing classical guitar,playing volleyball and singing songs.Accordingly,I have achieved many awards in these fields.Like many ordinary girl,I am fond of many beautiful things such as blue sky,little rabbits and vast sea.But there are three main characteristics which make me a little special,active,diligent,and responsible.
I’m active so that I can get rid of sorrow and sadness quickly.After suffering defeat,instead of crying or complaining,the only thing I do is trying again to make things better.I know that only in this way can I get through the difficulties and achieve my goal.
I’m diligent so that I can manage to make my scores become better.When I first became a senior high school student,I didn’t make a perfect score report.However,I didn’t give up.And after three year’s hard work,I become one of the top students in my school.
I’m responsible so that I have been the monitor of my class for three years.As is known to all,being a monitor in senior high school isn’t an easy task.But my responsibility made me get the praise of my teachers and classmates.In my opinion,responsibility is one of the most important characteristics of a successful man.
In today’s world,more and more people think power and riches are more important than conscience and have lots of material desires.Being different from them,I care of more about how to make people think sanely,how to lead the poor live with dignity and how to let more people know the truth.

I’m resilient.I am able to bounce back from difficulties quickly.After suffering defeat,instead of crying or complaining,I try again.I know that this is the only way to surpass all difficulties and achieve my goals.
I’m diligent.I try my best to make my scores become better.When I first became a senior high school student,I didn’t manage to acquire straight As.However,I didn’t give up.And after three years' worth of hard work,I became one of the top students in my school.
I’m responsible as shown by my performance during the three years I have been class chairperson.It is a known fact that being a chairperson in senior high school isn’t an easy task.However,my tasks were always completed to satisfaction and garnered the praise of both teachers and classmates.In my opinion,responsibility is one of the most important characteristic a successful man possesses.
In today’s world,an increasing number of people believe that power and riches are more important than conscience.They become increasingly preoccupied with material wealth.However,I care more about larger issues such as rational thought,living in poverty but with dignity and truthfulness.
