1.Tom:Hi,Jack.Long time no see.How's everything going?
Jack:Well,not so good.
Tom:Oh.What happened?
Jack:A friend of mine borrowed some money from me but it seemed that he completely forgot about that.You know,I've planned to take a trip to Alaska with my sister this weekend,and I need the money now.
Tom:Well,you don't really have to bother yourself with such a slight matter.
Jack:I'm just wondering how to open my mouth.Can you offer me some advice,Tom?
Tom:Of course.Asking people to return the money they have borrowed always cause embarrassment.This is unavoidable.But to be as polite as possible,you'd better talk in an indirect way.
Jack:An indirect way?Could you please be more specific?
Tom:Well,you may tell him that you are in need of money first,and then remind him that he have borrowed some money from you.Usually,most people would recall by themselves.
Jack:Oh,thank you for your suggestions.I can't wait to have my vocation now.
Tom:Have a nice day.
