While surfing the Internet,I happened to find a chatting room,＿＿＿people were talking with each other about everything under the sun in English.
想问横线填where 还是which

回答：用where
首先判断,在定语从句中是否缺少主语或宾语.（当然两个成分不能同时都没有）
如果缺少主语或宾语,就选which.因为which相当于先行词,它不仅引导这个定语从句,而且还在这个从句中充当主语或宾语.
如果不缺少主语或宾语,就选where.where不仅引导从句,而且还在从句中充当地点状语.（也可以用另一种带介词的in which,替代where）
本句,主语是people,宾语是each other.所以填where.

是的 答案说是非限制性定语从句 作地点状语 但是不是只需要判断从句中有没有缺少成分，而不用管这个从句补充说明的是之前的Internet 这个词呢？

我不明白这句话“答案说是非限制性定语从句 作地点状语”表达的是什么意思。 我再解释一遍：从 “＿＿＿people were talking with each other about everything under the sun in English.”是定语从句，先行词是 “a chatting room”。where是连词，相当于“in the chatting room”，它在定语从句中充当地点状语。

答案说：引导非限制性定语从句 而且在从句中作地点状语 我理解成这句话"I happened to find a chatting room”是主句 然后where引导的非限制性定语从句在while引导的从句中做地点状语 我以为原句可能是"I happened to find a chatting room while surfing the Internet,where people were talking with each other about everything under the sun in English.” 如果没有while那句 你解释的我都明白
