a place for study 意思是学习的地方, not eating 不是吃东西的地方,food left 是剩余的食物.整句意思是因为课室是学习的地方,而不是吃东西的地方,吃剩的食物会使我们的课室很脏..eat加ing的原因：这里的eat跟的是前面a place for, for 是介词所以后面的动词要加ing,而study不用加是因为study可以作名词
