He sent yet another fax informing the journalist that if he did not reply soon he would be fired.

He 主语 sent 谓语 fax 宾语 informing...fired宾补
that if he did not reply soon he would be fired.
是informing的宾语从句
he would be fired.
前不可加逗号,因为 he would be fired是从句的一部分.加了就成了修饰informing或sent,意思不对.

他发送了另一份传真通知那位记者，如果不能尽快回复的话，他将被解雇。
He是主语，sent是谓语，fax是宾语。inform到fired都是补语。
刚才答的有问题，我觉得这里不可断，if后面都是通知的内容。 加了逗号修饰对象就变了。
