I have been transferred here since six months ago.My company needed some guy to come over here to help setup the new business unit.It was a difficult choice then as i have little confidence with my Chinese language.Being in the country and using the language is totally different experience from purely learning it for chatting online.
Shortly after i relocated to the ShangHai city,i quickly adept to the environment with ease.And now im "getting on well with all my new Chinese friends"

Even though i am in a new job.It is a dream job for me.I am to lead a business unit and also to explore newer markets.As a foreigner,i feel lonely at times and often dejected whenever my proposals to the headquarter isnt accepted.I would make phone calls sometimes to my friends and family back home as i think that is "the best way to make me happy" now.

In the city im working in,i have some affiliation to the local school.I am recommended by the local municipal to participate in some of the school activity.As a foreigner,this will be an eye opener and certainly will allow the students to be exposed to my foriegn experience.

During one weekend,i have a colleague who had visited another's family.Julia had lived in ShangHai for a year longer than me.In fact,her whole family relocated here and will stay on for the next 2 years.With her whole family in ShangHai,she practically doesnt need any major changes in her life.She need not call home like i do.Hence,LiHua,who wants to experience how a foriengner family copes with living in China,went for a visit.

Even with the progress of economy.Children in China can own each a personal computer.However,since their parents do not have a chance to learn computer,they allow their wards to meddle on their own.Most of my chinese colleagues have told me that their children stare at their computer from morning till night every weekends.Gods know what they do with their computers.I offer my advices to them and teach them some methods of locking the computer away.And the proper guidance/advice has to be given to their children,else they may lose their sight to staring too much at the computers.
