这句话意思是“第二次世界大战于二十世纪三十年代爆发.”,而是世纪三十年代,前面要加上the,即in the 1930's 或者in the 1930s.
World War Two前面不用加任何冠词,但是,“二战”的另一种英语说法则要加the,因为,英语要在序数词前加the.The Second World War.（second是序数词,two是基数词.）
