这句话的意思是：我有一块面包,现在我正在找一把刀来切它.
空中所填起到的是修饰a knife 的作用.
to cut it with 中,it代指面包,而为避免重复,with 后面省略了宾语it,with的真正宾语应该是a knife.

本题题眼在it代表什么？如果it代表loaf of bread，显然就应该选A，即可还原成：cut it with knife. 如果it代表knife，则可还原成cut the bread with it.
所以选A合适。

look for something to do something.是固定搭配，表示“寻找什么做什么”的意思。 cut something with something也是固定搭配，表示“用什么切什么”，with不能省掉。
