我想请教下,在这里为什么after和over可以在一起使用?而did为什么是错的.

after .over表示在什么结束之后,这里意思是在饮食结束之后,至于为什么用did是错误的,依据我的判断,这里所说明的是一种普遍经常的状况,第二个they后面动词的时态应该与前面的eat一致,都用一般现在时,所以应该用do,代替eat.

after是在…之后,diet is over是一起的表示吃饭结束。所以这不是词组，不存在能否连用。then作比较前后时态需一致，整段文字为现在时，所以改did为do
