Randy Pausch was a university professor in America.In August 2007,he learned that his cancer was terminal and he could only live three to six months in good health.So,without making complaint or laying blame on the world,he chose to live each day of his remaining life well.
On September18,2007,Randy gave a lecture named Last Lecture for a small audience at his university.He taught people how important each day is--to not live in the past or furue,but to enjoy the present,and to make the most of every day even if one is dying.
To his surprise,through the internet,the lecture reached a lot more people than Randy had ever dreamed of.By 2008,about 20 million people knew him and his woeds of wisdom and his inspiring tips for life.His message was simple and powerfu:"We cannot change the cards we are dealt,just how we play the hand.'
On July 25,2008,Randy died at the ageof 47.His bravery,courage,wisdom,and love for life will continue to inspire a lot more people.
