应该是：walk in the street.in the street是在街上,walk in the street就是走在街上,而且是在街里,不是单纯的on.没有on the street一说.

那也是PLAY Basketball on the stree？ 还有，on不是用于物体表面，in 是在物体里面吗

on the street，没有这种说法，你就当子虚乌有就可以了。我从小到大学的英语都是in the street，从来没见过有on the street的。
